Our Journey at Twisted and Tangled Winery: From Passion to Pour
Welcome to Twisted and Tangled Winery...
where passion and tradition craft unique wines and memorable moments!
Nestled in the northern hills of Oklahoma, the vineyard is the culmination of a shared dream between founders Lance and Molly Lorenz.
Having called Oklahoma home for over a decade, Lance and Molly's journey into winemaking began as a desire to embrace the artistry of winemaking, and they seized the opportunity to embark on a new adventure.
In December 2021, Lance and Molly took the reins, infusing new life into the winery with their vision and dedication. In the 2 years that followed, they have revamped everything from the tasting room to the production process. It's their goal to make quality wines to enjoy with their customers.
From the moment the grapes are harvested to the final pour, Twisted & Tangled Winery is committed to excellence. Lance and Molly's passion for quality extends beyond the cellar doors, with a focus on providing an experience that will last a lifetime with guests who schedule Private Events on the vineyard grounds.
Every grape variety is cultivated with meticulous attention and nurturing, culminating in
wines that mirror the distinctive essence of the rolling Osage hills landscape.

At Twisted & Tangled Winery, we're all about kicking back, relaxing, and savoring life's little pleasures, one glass at a time.
Come hang out with us as we pop open some bottles and dive into the delicious world of our wines. We love mixing tradition with a twist of something new, crafting each bottle with love and care.
So, drop by and let's raise a glass to good times and great tastes!

Lance and Molly Lorenz – Twisted & Tangled Winery
Just 10 minutes from Kaw Lake near Shidler, Oklahoma, you’ll find Twisted and Tangled Winery, a place where passion, perseverance and a little chaos gave way to something truly special.
When Lance and Molly Lorenz bought the property three years ago, it came with a vineyard in need of serious care. The previous owners had retired, and the land needed work, which inspired the name: Twisted and Tangled.
“We jumped in and started learning about wine and how to make it, the vineyard and the vines, and went from there,” Molly said.
With backgrounds in wind energy and hospitality, the duo turned their fixer-upper into a destination for wine lovers and weekend wanderers alike.
“I had been looking into vineyards for probably two years,” Lance said. “I had actually purchased some other land with the intention of putting a vineyard on it, but then this opportunity came up where there was already an existing vineyard, and we took it.”
Today, they grow eight grape varieties and offer both casual and private food-paired tastings, complete with Molly’s homemade dishes.
“My favorite is our Naked Lady with tomato, oil and mozzarella dish,” she said.
Open Thursday through Saturday, the winery also features wine slushies, seasonal events and quirky experiences like wiener dog races and Hallo-wine parties.
“Any event we have out here, I come up with some wild hair idea and we’re like, ‘Let’s do it!’” Molly said.
For Lance, winemaking is part science, part creativity. He’s currently experimenting with pumpkin, lemon and even olive trees.
“We’re looking at different options and ways of doing things that are exotic to the area,” he said.
“My favorite part is getting to be together,” Molly said. “At one point, our jobs had us in different states. Now we get to share this place and meet all the amazing people who find us.”
